“Some of my fondest memories of him are going to visit my grandparent’s house and watching him use this really dope percolator coffee pot. It was vintage and somewhat dented, but he loved the taste of the coffee it made. I can still remember that robust smell permeating the whole house. Ka-Wi (ᎧᏫ) means coffee in the Cherokee (ᏣᎳᎩ) language. “Rooted Ka-Wi” brings back those memories for me, and I hope it brings up new memories for you to cherish as well.
